Eligibility Criteria:

• Age: 17–25 years (No age bar for ANM/LHV candidates).
• 10+2 with Science (PCB) & English (45% aggregate) OR
• 10+2 Vocational ANM course (INC-recognized) OR
• ANM/LHV certification (as per INC norms).
• Admission based on State Nursing Council guidelines.

Program Highlights:

• Duration: 3.5 years (including 6-month internship).
• Exemption: 6 months for qualified ANMs/LHVs during midwifery training.
• Vacations: 30 days annual leave + 10 days sick leave.
• Weekly Hours: 36–40 (theory + clinical practice).

Examination & Certification:

• Theory: Year-end exams with 75% external + 25% internal weighting.
• Practical: Hands-on assessments in clinical settings.
• Award: Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (INC & Nagaland Nursing Council approved).

• Medical-Surgical Nursing – 90 theory + 70 practical hrs
• Total: 525 theory hrs, 810 practical hrs

Second Year

• Community Health Nursing – 60 theory + 240 practical hrs
• Mental Health Nursing – 60 theory + 240 practical hrs
• Nursing Administration – 60 theory + 180 practical hrs
• Nursing Research – 45 theory + 120 practical hrs
• Total: 345 theory hrs, 855 practical hrs

Assessment & Certification:

• Exams: Semester-wise (25% internal + 75% external).
• Practical: Clinical evaluations + viva voce.
• Research: Project submission in Year 2.
• Award: B.Sc Nursing Degree (INC-recognized).
